howdy y’all!
The opening reception for “Displacement”, my recent exhibition at Mark Miller Gallery, was pretty much the best night ever. The olde school came out in droves and it was amazing to see so many good friends and local LES folks. There were even a few dignitaries of the underground in the house and I could not have been happier than to have people who I so much look up to, showing up to see my stuff. Thanks to Mark Miller, I was able to spread my portraits and collaged paintings over two large floors of white walls with great lighting and even build a crazy little cave of Ludlow Street nostalgia in the basement. I’ve been here at the gallery every day since, painting portraits live of anyone who comes in.
So with about a week left, I’m putting out the call – COME GET YOURSELF PAINTED – now thru Thurs. Dec 4 @ Mark Miller Gallery 92 Orchard Street (@ Delancey) NYC 1-7pm (closed wed-fri this holiday week).
Heres the deal: There is no charge. Bring an object or panel (i have some here if you don’t find anything that moves you). I keep the painting for future shows, unless you want it – then its a measly $300 (WHAT?! yes, I know Crazy Zito – his prices are INSANE!!!)
I’m also offering signed archival inkjet prints of any piece in the show in 3 sizes (between $100-$300).
